About the Republic of Haut Canada
We believe the Republic of Haut Canada can become a proud and stable nation rooted in our own history, traditions, and identity. Our heritage comes from generations of Loyalists, British settlers, and early American pioneers who built communities across this land after the American Revolution, creating a society that blended British law and tradition with the independent spirit of North America. Over time, millions of newcomers from around the world added their cultures and ideas to that foundation, turning our homeland into one of the most diverse and dynamic regions on Earth.
Our nation would include the Greater Golden Horseshoe and much of Southern Ontario stretching from Windsor to Cornwall. This is the heart of our economy, our culture, and our population. From Toronto to Hamilton, from the Niagara Peninsula to the growing cities of southwestern Ontario, we already function as one interconnected region tied together by trade, infrastructure, and shared interests. We believe this land has the population, industry, agriculture, financial power, and global connections necessary to succeed as an independent state. The question of our capital will ultimately belong to the people. Many support Toronto because it is our largest and most internationally recognized city, while others favor Niagara-on-the-Lake because it was the original capital of Upper Canada and represents our historical roots. Some may even support compromise candidates such as London or Hamilton. No matter which city is chosen, our goal is the same: to build a sovereign nation that represents our people, protects our prosperity, and gives Haut Canada control over its own future.
